The Autism Roundtable is a way for us to make our voice heard regarding autism issues. A topic of current interest is selected, and interested stakeholders meet to discuss and try to arrive at a consensus as well as a plan to tackle the issue. Action plans can include writing letters to the press, contacting organizations, and arranging followup meetings.
The focus of this activity is less of coming up with an immediate solution or plan, and more of connecting people who share the same concerns and passion. Hopefully, the people who attend will be able to find enough people and interest to kick-start the process of creating the change that they seek.
