Talkative
(Based on poem "Talkative" from "Mirror Mind")
The professor who overflows with knowledge and imagination. The professor who tells you everything except what you wanted to hear. The professor who speaks to himself because no one listens to him.
Being the professor was tough, but I had no idea who else I could be. Talking is the only way I could confirm that I exist. I had no idea what else I could do - it was impossible for me to do otherwise.
Therefore people fear me. Would I talk about my queer theories again? Would I flood them with 'irrelevant' facts? They ignore me. I talked louder. They ignored me more. In the end, I also ignored them. |

Camera Mind
(Based on poem "Watching" from "Mirror Mind")
The witness. He sees.
As the witness, I sleepwalked. Having no sense of time and space, I drifted through this peculiar reality. I did not know "I am". I was still asleep.
Neither could anyone else understand me. |

Armour of Words
(Based on poem "Word World" from "Mirror Mind")
I am the creator. I make my own world. Nothing else exists.
Reality could not contradict me. People could not contradict me. Even logic could not contradict me.
A world that I live in alone, in which other people could not hope to see. Therefore, I am. |

Humanity Unreachable
(Based on poem "Inferiority Complex" from "Mirror Mind")
Emotions are far away from me. The world of people are like shadows, totally unreal. Unidentified Moving Objects carrying about their unknown business. I was expected to follow their rules. I did not know any better, so I tried.
I failed. I was never good enough. I could never do what they wanted. Too careless, too slow, too lacking of common sense.
But people are always expecting me to do the impossible. What can I do, but to try and fail again? |

We Are Data
(Based on poem "I, Computer" from "Mirror Mind")
From another world far away. The world of pure information I arrived from. A world of logic and data.
This is a world with no face, just data interfaces. No emotions, just data links. No relationships, just data connections. A world where no hatred and love exists.
Everything is expressed in clear logic and tidy definitions. Everything is made utterly simple and clear. The unending database of knowledge. If only I can go home...

Imagine being Autistic
Imagine that you have forgotten about emotions, and now have no idea how to feel happy or sad.
Imagine that you have erased the idea of people from your mind, and find that everyone looks and feels just the same - even your closest partners.
Imagine that someone swapped your body while you were sleeping, and you woke up to find that you have an odd, uncomfortable body that just won't cooperate with you.
Imagine living like this day after day, not knowing that it is possible to live otherwise. |
